ir. wood stated that if the Community would like to restore <br /> the Mashpee River, the implementation of a sewer system for the <br /> Town, paid by a combination of user fees and general taxes should <br /> be voted at Town Meeting and put into effect. <br /> Deirdre reelish-Asked if the recommended sewerage treatment <br /> discharge area is owned by Mashpee Commons. <br /> Mr. wood stated mashpee Conmons does own some of the land, <br /> some being owned privately, as well as Town, owned areas. He <br /> stated opt i ons would be broader if the 'down moves forward on a <br /> community plan as opposed to an independent l ashpee Commons plan. <br /> 5 <br /> Nis. Greelish then directed a question to Mr. Fudala as Town <br /> Planner and Sewer Commission Member as to whether or not this <br /> issue will be resolved within the Ma hpee Commons development <br /> process. <br /> Mr. Fudala stated the sewer Commission is attempting to move <br /> ahead with development of a facilities plan for- the Town. The <br /> intent is to determine the cost and to provide an Article for the <br /> may Town meeting, which plan would draw largely from Dr. Lowes ' <br /> study. He stated this procedure would take a number of years to <br /> develop; there are however current opportunities available such <br /> as how Mashpee Commons intends to set up a system; and whether or <br /> not the Town would life to become involved in a joint project to <br /> include Mashpee Commons, Talanian, and windchirtme Point projects <br /> in an attempt to remove nitrogen from the Watershed. He also <br /> spoke to the best location, which has not yet been decided. <br /> It being 10 : 00 p.m. , the Moderator suggested the Mashpee <br /> Commons Master Plan Public Meeting be adjourned.
