The moderator then opened the floor for questions and <br /> recognized the following speakers <br /> fir. Baker-Asked if there would be future opportunities to <br /> c rr ent/que tion upon the materials being provided this date. <br /> The moderator responded a future meeting has been scheduled <br /> in order to address any/all questions; and that letters and <br /> personal contact are encouraged. <br /> Mr. Baker asked who would be resp nsi le for the clearing of <br /> access ways within the project in the event of a snowstorm. <br /> Mr. Chace responded there will exist adequate room for <br /> garbage/snow removal from the rear of the buildings , access <br /> area. He also reported that Mr. Taylor, DPW, has suggested snow <br /> e removed/relocated from the area in the event of a serious <br /> storm, which costs to the Town have been factored into the Fiscal <br /> Impact Study. <br /> Mr. Storrs further explained that the North Market and <br /> ashpee Commons Neighborhoods are to remain private areas, which <br /> snow removal costs would be factored into the maintenance charges <br /> paid by the property owner; and that the residential areas of <br /> Whiting' s and Job' s Fishing Roads, if they are to become 'down <br /> roads, would rely on Town services for snow removal, which costs <br /> have been included within the Fiscal Impact Study. <br /> Mr. Baker inquired as to corn encs/ questions he had raised <br /> with reference to financial information prvidedashpee Commons <br /> Ltd. Partnership. <br /> Mr. Chace assured him that he was in receipt of said <br /> comments and that Mr. Baker could expect to receive a written <br /> response. Mr. Chace further conmented that he found some of Mr. <br /> Baker' s comments to be extremely helpful . <br /> matt Patrick, Falmouth Selectman and waqu it Resident- <br /> Requested lir. woad to further explain statements he mado with <br /> reference to the reduction of nitrogen loading. <br /> Mr. wood made reference to Best Management Practices three <br /> steps-solids removal by way of catch basins, sumps; inverted <br /> hoods; and nutrient removal by way of vegetated swails in an <br /> attempt to reduce road runoff. And public/developer control with <br /> regard to the reduction of lawn runoff. <br /> Mr. Chace responded these issues are of concern to the <br /> Watershed Committee as well . He spoke to impacts of private use, <br /> individual lawn size, green and open space areas, stating the <br /> type of development produces less square feet of lawn area. He <br /> also stated Mashpee Commons Ltd.. Partnership would provide plant <br /> guidelines for the project which would include nature species, in <br /> -9- <br />
