Proposed Kennel Conditions <br /> The kennel shall be constructed on a 20 foot x 28 foot concrete slab foundation. All <br /> cages will be screwed into the concrete foundation. The exterior structure will have 3 <br /> cages on both sides of the building, with each cage being 5 feet x 8 feet in size. A roof <br /> made out of trusses with an overhang shall be constructed to prohibit the dogs from <br /> escaping from the cage and to provide shelter from the weather. The building shall be a <br /> 12 foot by 20 foot structure with sleeping quarters for each permitted dog. The sleeping <br /> area shall be at least 5 feet by 4 feet. The building will have one door that enters into a 4 <br /> foot by 7 foot hallway leading into a 12 foot by�foot storage area. <br /> The entire property shall be fenced in with an 8 foot wooden fence, with a six foot chain <br /> link fence placed on a concrete footing closing off the dogs from the back yard. <br /> Occupancy of the kennel shall not be allowed until all inspections and sign-offs have <br /> occurred. <br /> Operator shall secure and furnish proof that it holds a Commercial Liability Policy to run <br /> a kennel business out of his home with at least $1 M/$2M coverage, and further the police <br /> shall name the Town of Mashpee as an additional insured. <br /> The Kennel Business shall comply with all applicable Massachusetts General Laws and <br /> Town of Mashpee Bylaws. <br /> The dogs shall be confined and properly restrained when any town employee enters the <br /> property, when said employee is acting in his/her official capacity. <br /> AVI!ie property owner shall be responsible for regularly checking, inspecting and <br /> maintaining the kennel area in a safe condition at all times. <br /> The Kennel permit is for a one year period and will only be considered for renewal after <br /> following the plan review process. <br /> Inspections by Town Officials shall occur at reasonable and regular time intervals. <br /> If the owner does not take occupancy of 225 Ashumet Road within 30 days from the date <br /> of the Board of Health approval the applicant shall be required to permit the current <br /> location of 587 Main Street failure to do so shall be a violation of the Towns bylaws and <br /> regulations. <br /> The permit shall be limited to six adult dogs (greater than three months of age) <br /> Failure to comply with one or all of the conditions listed above shall be grounds for <br /> revocation of the kennel license. <br />
