A copy of this partial listing is attached to the printed set of these minutes. Following review
3 and discussion, Catherine will look into building maintenance and provide the Committee Vnth a
more detailed listing.
Janice Mills mentioned that last year the c-i-p Committee looked at building maintenance needs
of the schools and prioritized the needs. The result was that the school flooring was redone.
Gene noted that unfortunately some of the groups are spending maintenance money on things
other than maintenance. Consensus of the group was that it is easier and a lot less costly to do
building maintenance than to have to do replacements because upkeep was neglected.
Catherine said that at the next Selectmen's Meeting the Consultant will be giving his
recommendations on a number of issues, including whether or not a Maintenance person is
needed, or should be placed under DPW. The Committee agreed that we,as a Committee, really
need one person to recommend what has to he maintained and we could then be in advisory
capacity to review the recommendations.
Joe Brait reported that they got the go-ahead on work for the innate crew to perform; he just has
to go through the channels,to get funding for the materials needed.
Question from the audience: Kathy Bulpett, Ma.shpee Enterprise, asked whether or not the
request for the SP's for HVAC.and for Evidence Room for the police Station were done. Ken
responded that the request was submitted.
Mems for Future Follow
• SenIor Center–Consider installing emergency generator?
• Town Hall sloes not have an emergency generator.
• Anything to be done in future to hook schools into Commons surer system?
