Maguire Group Inc.
Architects/Engineers Planners
3 Commercial Street,Suite 1
Foxborough,MA 02035
Telephone:508-543-1700
Fax.508-543-5157
April 4, 2006
.sA. u.s.t Chief George Baker
Mashpee Fire Department
20 Frank Hicks Drive
Mashpee, lA 02649
Re: Station No.
South Mashpee
Dear Chief Baker.
Enclosed is a first cut at a plan for Station No. 2. It contains 6,290 s.f., not including
any attic or basement space. We have shown a stair but have not included an attic or
basement in the calculation in that vire are slightly over the budget with this plan.
We have shown two bunks per room and one of them can be a "Murphy lied."
Also, please note in the estimate that we have included a construction contingency of
$120,768 and a construction escalation cost of$122,349. Combined, this represents
$243M7.7. If the prof ectrroves quickly and costs are controlled, we are confident
that a station of this size can be constructed within your budget.
I ani sure you will have questions and comments. I ani available to meet with you at
your convenience.
Very truly yours,
SIA I ROUP 11C.
eter Morrison, AIA
Senior Vice President
Phi:sue
Enclosures
Winner of Two Presidential Awards for Design Excellence.
