Sheldon Gilbert motioned to accept the minutes of February 6, 2007 as presented; Irving <br /> Goldberg seconded this motion; and the motion was approved by those Committee members <br /> present, with Janice Mills abstaining. <br /> Cavital Improvement Program Review <br /> Catherine Laurent provided copies of 2 lists: <br /> 1, Capital Building Repair/Upgrade Projects; and <br /> 2. Capital Improvement Program spreadsheet summary form FY-2007 through FY-201 l <br /> which were reviewed and discussed. Copies ofthe lists are attached to the pnnted set of these <br /> minutes. Some of the issues raised and discussed included the following: <br /> Gene Smargon informed the Committee that he had received a phone call from Nancy <br /> Bradshaw and Janice Tills and he visited Quashnet School and there is a very serious <br /> problem with windows in the hallway that are 30 years old. The condition is deplorable <br /> and from what Gene can see the windows will have to be replaced. This will be a big job <br /> because they are old metal-framed windows. They are not insulated so heat loss makes it <br /> impossible to heat properly. <br /> Gene also mentioned that the outside metal doors at the emergency exits look as though <br /> they haven't been painted and he asked whether or not this could be done sometime this <br /> summer before they deteriorate more. Janice Nfills will ask Brad to have this done this <br /> summer. <br /> Joyce Mason suggested that a needs assessment survey be done for all Town buildings <br /> (which, of course would include the Schools). This needs assessment survey would list <br /> the work to be done, prioriti <br />
