Absent: Sheldon Gilbert, Eugene Srnargon,Janice Mills, and Tricia Parolski x Officlo Member). Also Present: Catherine Laurent, DPW Joyce Mason, Town Manager Audience: Fancy Soderberg—Back-Up Liaison,Library Trustees h rrn n Stere Cook called the meet g to order at 7:05 p.m. ApIlroval of Minutes Joe Krait motioned to accept the mutes of the Meeting of January 10, 2008;hv Goldberg seconded the motion; and the notion was unanimously passed. .,Library Proms Chairman Steve Cook gave an update of the subcommittee a tiff on the hbrary project. Highlights of i the update included the following: Architect Stewart Roberts is working on the design and is moving forward with plans. Updated ; plans to be ready and submitted to subcommittee at their next meeting. 0 Adjustments made on the plans for the divider for the meeting room, 0 Group met with Patience Jackson of the Mate Board of Library on ssioners at Pembroke Library and she suggested some excellent changes on the plan. A copy of Rick Pommy notes of this January o meeting is attached to the printed set of these minutes. • Catherine Laurent noted that in reviewing the updated plans,they wfll also get into costs of materials for the building project. 0 Mashpee Commons-has a set-hack variance to build within 40 feet of Job's Fishing Road and 15.1 so we have to go to ZBA to secure variance to align with the 40 foot variance. • Parking was discussed and we"11 be working on some ideas. Mechanicalfelectrical engineers are going to come back to us with different heating cooling systems for the building and they'll give costs for the different systems as well as what the payback would be for some of the"green"energy systern . Result of meeting with Barbara Notarius, president of the Friends,resulted in Friends cotting to give$75,000 to get some type of-"green"energy system within the-building. hen question vias asked about costs for"green"syst n, Steve responded that in rough calculations$150,000 `green"energy would get$60,000 rebate. Catherine pointed out that with rebates we would first have to pay the-money up front and the rebate comes back later. interims location for current library Catherine said it is hoped the RFP will go out next week at the latest. Landscaping...Iry said that apparently there is Hope Mashpee Cocoons is willing to contribute to landscaping cost. ,4
