PJ indicated that the size reduction was within the range of acceptability and that prov ided that the plan worked with capacity,ADA and code,she was K with the reduction., 0 PJ reported that the program looks like it works per capita and is acceptable. • She wants to see the story hour space to be more useful during all working hours and not locked all the time. Look at how the story hour benches can be deadened so that kids do not use them as drums. • Try to create a larger opening into the story hour area so that the adjoining spaces can become 1 when the door is opened..Perhaps a barn door type door. The computers in the children's room should not be in a-travel path. a She would like to see the administration area for the children's room changed so the'sery ice desk has a visual connection to the main-service desk.Can the children's librarian office be situated to have an exterior Window' The-walls surr unding the elevator machine room should be double or staggered stud walls for sound deadening purposes. 0 PJ was conce.med about the layout of the events room in the sense that the primary entrance doors should not be in the front ofthe room where the speaker was. She was al so conc ern ed with security and hiding places in and around the corridor feeding the events room from the main library. * PJ stressed that the Iocation of the dumpster and electrical transformer were critical.A review of the proposed electric utility plan showed the electrical transformer behind the facility closest to Jobe's Fishing. It was agreed to locate the dumpster in the same location. PJ cautioned the group to-Hake sure that this did not get mo ved and she did not want the dump ter right outside of the director's office. • PJ wants to see glass vision panels in all doors serving public spaces. Discussion took place relative to the Friends storage.They will continue to use the exterior shed and space on the second floor if necessary.The shed will need to be spruced up and located to rear of the parking lot abutting Route 11.
