Discussion took place relative to the street-scape street-apecoordination w/Mashpee Commonsincluding <br /> lighting, landscaping,engineering, etc. It was stressed to PJ that the library Team is coordinating with <br /> the Commons team and that the parking lots will most likely be linked together for circulation and <br /> access ease. PJ was concerned about vehicles speeding through the library lot and pert aps speed <br /> bumps would be a good idea. It was explained that the goal would be to control and direct the traffic <br /> by mans of landscaped islands and it was agreed to use speed bumps as a last resort. <br /> PJ question hover the young adult section was going to be separated from the adjoining stairwell and <br /> slid recommend mend a full height barrier rather than a railing. <br /> • PJ requested access to the flat roof sections for leaf clearing. It was agreed that the operable windows <br /> will satisfy this requirement. <br /> • Discussion tools place relative to the Native American collection area in its current location. It was <br /> agreed that-the collection-area would be moved to an area where wall space was available and the <br /> current area would be used for other displays.. <br /> PJ questioned the size change of the windows from the front of the building to the rear of the <br /> building. Discussion took place.No action required, window s torn stay as is. <br /> • PJ requested no hard ceilings in the children's area. <br /> • PJ suggested looking for,and capturing as much storage as possible. <br /> • It was noted that the bathrooms have floor drains.No action required. <br /> • It was agreed the SR would take all of the comments and prepare design revisions to address the <br /> concerns.The revised design would be submitted to the committee and PJ for approval. PJ would <br /> prefer a CLQ and paper copy of the docs.Please do not send electronically. <br /> • PJ also needs a set of the %complete working drawings for review. <br /> • State funds will be dispersed as follows;3 0%at signing,of contract between M ashpee and Mate, o% <br /> at GC contract and building permit,3)o%at 7 % completion o f project and 10%after occupancy of <br /> project. <br /> 0 Monthly reports will be issued to PJ by OPM. Reports to include status narrative,schedule update, <br />' budget update, issues update,GC requisition and project invoices. <br /> * PJ questioned the projects Green building status. She noted that this project was in the pipeline prior <br /> to Executive Order 484 which does require certain compliance, but she would still Iike to sec the <br /> building be a responsible building. it was noted that the Team was looking at photovoltaics', <br /> geothermal systems as well as the building will be compliant with the Cape Light Compact. <br /> PJ caution to stay away from bamboo flooring. <br /> PJ closed the comments by saying that the overall impression that her folks gave was that the <br /> Mashpee Library project Team had its act together and the design was in very good shape. <br /> Meeting adjourned. <br /> These meeting minutes have been prepared by Pomroy Associates in the efforts to record to the best of our <br /> knowledge and recollection the discussions which took place at the meeting on January 30, 2008.
