Fire Substation # continued
Invoices...Following invoices were submitted for approval for payment:
$700.00 - Ernie Virgilio
106.50—Botello invoices)
300.2 —Nome Depot
• 161.62—Creative Entertaining
Lotion: Sheldon Gilbert motioned that the 6 invoices presented be accepted for payment;
Janice Mills seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved.
The Committee also reviewed four invoices already paid but submitted for record purposes only
as presented in list attached to the printed set of these minutes.
Placiue....Has the plaque been installed? Steve Cook will ask Catherine.
Library Project
Rick Pomroy updated the Committee on the Library project as detailed in Rick's written project
update which is attached to the printed set of these minutes.
There was a lengthy discussion on a newspaper article that reported on allocation of funding for
the library and other details that are the responsibility of this Committee, but no allocation of
funds has been dome yet by the Committee. Iry asked: who is making this allocation? Steve
Cook added that he read the article and it did appear that it was a foregone conclusion. Iry
cautioned the Committee that we don't want to spend money we don't have until we're ready to
do it. He said this article is telling the public we're doing something that is not what we're L
doing, Janice Mills commented that this Committee had a big discussion on"gag orders".
Following points were discussed:
About 40 or 50 bricks from the old library were given to Helene to hold, and Rick asked
that nothing be doled out until the Committee decides how to be handled.
Waste management goal would give us another point toward LEEDS certification.
Rick would like to see interim summations for the U.S. green Council. As paperwork
comes in, Stewart Roberts to cheek to be sure documentation meets requirements. Steve
.. Cook asked: As we go along will we know how many "points"we have toward the
LEED certification? Shelley asked that we see the first month's report so the Committee
can see how it's documented.
Steve Cook said rebates for solar panels dropped as of January 1 so the amount of money
we'll have to come up with is going to have to increase. Rick noted that the rebate
information would have to be submitted by the town and that the installer would be the
official voltaic. Iry asked: At what point do we cancel if the rebate drops down:
Catherine said a portion of the funding was set aside for the.project. Catherine said our
other town buildings are being looped at for solar panels, but that project would-be aside
from the library.
Ground brakin ,..Consensus 8f the Committee was that it should be sooner, rather than later.
Rick Fomroy and Steve Cook will discuss witb Catherine Laurent to pick a date.
i
