A copy of the written update is attached to the printed set of these minutes. Highlights of the
discussion included the following-.
0 lick noted everything is going well with the materials testing and Rick is very pleased. He said
we are well below budget and the property is two-thirds through testing. The inspections are not
'
generating anything of any detail.
Contractor still on schedule. Rick again repeated that now that the building is up the
infrastructure takes most of the time and you see little results, but that is normal. RMC said the
workmen are very polite;they are in order and in line.
0 Rick said hopefully we can soon cross off everything on the list t'o be coordinated with Mashpee
Commons. Catherine Laurent said the casement plans had to be redrafted but that was no
problem.
0 Rick is waiting for Mashpee hpee Commons' input as to what the spacing should be for the sidewalk
poles.
• Rick said he will be drafting a summary of what the invoice should be from Town of Mashpee to
Mashpee Commons.
Iry asked: How does the delay in building the Post Office affect us` Rick said he doesn't believe
it will affect us at all. He said we've already given a proposal to Mashpee Commons to do that
work for them. He said the only area that will be Mashpee Commons' responsibility is grading
off from curb to Post Office parcel.
Book Security System
There was a lengthy review and discussion on book security system. Rick informed the Committee that
M is the preferred provider, but we're still in the research stage. He said the cost is about$70,000 but if
we go with 2 areas entrances , including self-check book drop and hand-held unit thea cost would be
about$83,000. He said infrastructure engineering and architect costs would also be involved. He
explained that we carried a line item of about$50,000 in the budget, so we're looking at$70,100490,000
