AUshpee Planning and Construction Committee Minutes of Meeting Heid Thursday,September 3,2009 Meeting Room Committee Member's Present: Steve Cook,Irving Goldberg,,Sheldon Gilbert,and Janice Mills. Absent: Tricia Parolski x Officio Member),Eugene Smargon, and Joe Brait. Also Present* Catherine Laurent,DPW Rick Pornroy,Pornroy Associates Helene Defoe,Library Director Nancy Soderberg—Back-up Liaison,Library Trustees Chairman Steve Cook called the meeting to order at 635 p.m.and announced that Mr.D.J.Ellis submitted a letter of interest to join this Committee. Steve said if Mr.Ellis comes to tonight's meeting then the Committee can have a discussion with him and answer any questions Mr.Ellis may have about function of this group. ApDroval of Minutes Janice Mills motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of August 6,2009;Irving Goldberg seconded the emotion; and the motion was passed,with Sheldon Gilbert abstaining. Fire Substation# Rick Pomroy reported that he and Brad Tripp did an inspection of Fire Substation#2 on Noonday because the one-yeas warranty period will expire raid-September. Rick sent out a punch list to the contractor and to the architect:. lick said there is nothing major and the construction engineer will look at the crack in the floor. Rick said Pete Barbado will be addressing all his issues and will get back to Rick. Rick advised the building looked very good; it was a positive inspection. Helene raised the question: On construction when does the orae-year warranty date begin...Rick said the one-year warranty runs from the substantial completion date. Library Pr-o_iet Rick Pomroy provided a Witten update on the Library project and each item was discussed at length, copy of the written update is attached to the printed set of these minutes. Some additional points made during the discussion were the following: Rick said the entry and vestibule doors will also be clone this month. In discussing timing for move into the new library building,the consensus reached by the Subcommittee was to let Buffiree finish completion and punch list and then start moving into the building when Buftree is out. ` Dick said we should have a good idea where they are insofar as schedule is concerned by.end of September.
