FI <br /> 1shpee Planning and Construction Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held'Thursday,November 5,2009 <br /> Meeting Room <br /> Committee Members Present: Stare Cook,Irving Goldberg, Sheldon Gilbert,end Janice Mills(via <br /> phone conference call). <br /> Absent: Joe Brait, Eugene Smargon,and Tricia Parolski(Ex Officio Member). <br /> . <br /> Also Present: Catherine Laurent,DPW <br /> Rick Pornroy,Pomroy Associates <br /> Taylor McDonald,Pomroy Associates <br /> Helene DeFoe, Library Director <br /> .lane Dolan—Liaison,Library'Trustees <br /> Chairman Steve Cook called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. and stated that since the invoices had to b <br /> approved for payment that could be the first order of business while Janice Mills was participating via <br /> conference call. <br /> Invoices <br /> The following 6 invoices were submitted for approval for payment. <br /> 0 $570,420.85 - Bine Bldg. Co. } <br /> 121362.85—Johnson Roberts invoices) <br /> 0 171510.58—Ponnroy Associates <br /> 66.00—Stiles&Dart <br /> 0 137.50—UTS(testing company) <br /> Motion: Sheldon Gilbert motioned that the 6 invoices presented be accepted for payment; Irving <br /> Goldberg seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved. <br /> Janice Mills' phone connection ended so there no longer was a quorum present but the session continued <br /> with an informal discussion. <br /> Informal Discussioin <br /> A copy of Rick Pomroy's library project update was distributed and Taylor McDonald went through the <br /> updates--copy of which is attached to the printed set of these minutes. Rick Po roy offered the <br /> following comments: <br /> Full-blown cleaning will be done to the building on Saturday before the heating equipment is <br /> fired up. Also,before{Town occupies the building the contractor will replace all filters with new <br /> filters. <br /> End of January the building is to be turned over to the Town by Bufftree. <br /> It is Buffiree's responsibility to hydro-seed; and Bu# tree said they will do it now. Rick said <br /> because of winter weather,he sees no value in adding sod now. <br /> Rick said our contractor is interested in seeing the Mashpee Commons land at the side of our site <br /> graded ofd`. Our contractor said it would be about$700 to grade that piece. The Committee <br /> agreed Rick should tell Buffiree to grade that piece off for the$700 and to stabilize it Rich will <br /> ask for pricing tp mulch. <br />
