Pro'ect Chan Anal sis Report <br /> i <br /> t <br /> Rick Pomroy provided the design Adds project change analysis report and explained how he compiled <br /> this chart and how the ratio of change order premium percentage was calculated. He said this report was <br /> first put together by him for the meeting with Town Counsel. Rick agar reminded the Committee that <br /> Stewart Roberts(like all architects)cautioned that there would be changes in the project this size. Gene <br /> Smargon reiterated his position that the architect and engineer are getting away with something; he said <br /> when you order items there.is still a back-charge and that should be under then,not us. He said there was <br /> duct work that had to be redone; and Gene notcd that.Rick Pornroy works for the Town. Rick Pommy <br /> said he is working ' r the Town and it is his responsibility to tell the n his opinion,not what you <br /> want to hear. Rick said this change percentage is well in the range...it is less than I%. Joyce Mason <br /> added the comment that Town Counsel felt strongly as well that this is'something we really shouldn't go <br /> after. Joyce said if the percentage was higher,then the feeling would be different. Sheldon Gilbert said <br /> mistakes do happen and taking a broad view of this the project was done beautifully and it doesn't make <br /> sense to pursue further... We've been served well so he strongly supports not going after the architect. <br /> Steve Cook added: something this size will get missed,but this is a low percentage. <br /> Motion: Irving Goldberg motioned that the architectural discontinuity be considered acceptable; <br /> Joe Krait seconded the motion; and the notion was unan imousiy approved. <br /> Invoices <br /> The following 5 invoices were submitted for approval for payment. <br /> * $1609259.30- Bufftree Bldg. Co. <br /> 171)510.58—Pomroy Associates <br /> • 72,170.00 Tuckerw Library Interiors 2 invoices <br /> 94.57—Catherine Laurent reimbursement for Nantucket Sound) <br /> Motion: Joe iBrait motioned that the 5 invoices presented be accepted for payment;Irving Goldberg <br /> seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved. <br /> Reguest for Meeting withI..ira Trustees <br /> Steve Cook said that the Library Trustees voted to open the library April 1 and have the grand opening <br /> on.April 16th and to close the library for 3 full weeks from March 2 -April 1 . Steve said the question is <br /> why do they need 3 full weeks? Also,why is the Board of Trustees deciding building opening? <br /> Shouldn't that be through Joyce Mason Board of Selectmen: Stere said he and Catherine Laurent tried to <br /> reach favid Burton and both Steve and Catherine feel it is unacceptable that they can't get in touch with <br /> anyone in 5-day's time. Therefore, Steve asked Jane Dolan to pursue with the Library Trustees to set up <br /> meeting to go over the questions.
