i <br /> TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> CAPTIAL NEEDS--HVAC PROJECTS <br /> SECTiON 0101 -- SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> A. Instructions to Bidders,AIA Document A201, 'The General Conditions of the Contract for <br /> Construction", 2007 Edition, the Supplementary General Conditions and Division 1, <br /> General Requirements, are a part of this Section and shall be binding on the Contractor <br /> and/or Subcontractor who performs this works. <br /> 1.2 PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> A. The Project consists of the HVAC Upgrades at three Town Facilities as shown on <br /> Contract Documents prepared by Garcia Galusla DeSou , Inc. <br /> B. The Work consists of.- <br /> 1. <br /> f:1. Removal of an existing gas fired boiler and its related appurtenances as <br /> indicated on the contract documents. Providing a neva gas fired boiler with all <br /> required reconnections as indicated on the contract documents for the Police <br /> Station. <br /> . Removal of an existing indoor gas fired air handier and its related appurtenances <br /> as'indicated on the contract documents located in the Gym of the Coombs <br /> School and provide a new indoor gas fired air handler and related appurtenances <br /> as indicated on the contract documents. Also required is the removal and <br /> replacement of the supply diffusers associated with the gym distribution system. <br /> As an alternate the roof- mounted gas fired air handler and its related <br /> appurtenances associated with the Library shall be removed and replaced as <br /> indicated on the contract documents. <br /> . ProViding a complete and operational direct digital control systerh for the Town <br /> Hall as indicated on the contract documents. The building has a partial DDC <br /> system of the l iagra Platform DDC system of the Bagri Platform which shall be <br /> incorporated and expanded upon for a full seamless integrated system. All <br /> existing equipment shall be provided 'with ' new control valves and digital <br /> thermostats as indicated on the contract documents. <br /> 1.3 WORK SEQUENCE <br /> CE <br /> A. The Work will be conducted in a manner to provide the least possible interference to the <br /> activities of the building. The building will remain occupied during the contract word . <br /> 1. . CONTRACTOR USE OF PREMISES <br /> A. General: Limit use of the premises to-construction activities only in areas indicated on the <br /> Contract Drawings, allow for Owner occupancy and use by the public. <br /> x <br /> I Confine operations to areas within Contract limits indicated.
