COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> MEETING APRIL 11, 2018 <br /> MASHPEE SENIOR CENTER <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members: David Egel, Jean Noussee, Marijo Gorney, <br /> Virginia McIntyre, Council on Aging Director Lynne Waterman <br /> Absent: Norah McCormick and Mary Gaffney, Outreach Coordinator Darlene <br /> Perkins <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 21, 2018 <br /> Motion: Jean Noussee moved to approve the March 21, 2018 minutes, seconded <br /> by Virginia McIntyre. Vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> Public Comment— None <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Director's Report <br /> The Director distributed her report for the month of March, She highlighted several <br /> ongoing activities. The Director met with the singing seniors. The Director and Activity <br /> Coordinator met with an instructor for a new type of art class and the Director spoke at <br /> the monthly meeting of the Sight Loss Services Support Group to explain the programs <br /> and services of the Mashpee Council on Aging. <br /> The Minibus Driver, Director, and Outreach Coordinator met for their monthly meeting. <br /> The Director thanked DPW who made several repairs, She noted they replaced the <br /> copier/printer in the main office. <br /> The Director stated the Council on Aging staff attended a training provided by MITA and <br /> the goal is to schedule more of these throughout the year. She noted a new substitute <br /> Mini-bus driver was hired. <br /> The Director reviewed several meetings she attended including COAST (Cape Cod <br /> Senior Center Directors), the Town's Affirmative Action Committee, and Healthy Aging <br /> Cape Cod. She also attended a training scheduled by the Town. The Director and the <br /> other Co-Chair of COAST met with Barnstable County's Health and Human Services <br /> staff. <br />
