The Director noted the Town signed a letter of participation with Barnstable County Health and Human Services to be part of a proposal to make Cape Cod an Age Friendly region. The Director reviewed her goals are to continue planning for the annual volunteer recognition event, train the new Mini-bus driver and schedule summer activities and events with the Activities Coordinator Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Director's report, seconded by Virginia McIntyre. Vote 4-0 unanimous Outreach Coordinator's Report In the absence of the Outreach Coordinator, the Director distributed the Outreach Coordinator's Report for the month of March. She highlighted the home and office visits. The Brown Bag Program continues to serve Mashpee Seniors and this month the Barnstable County Cape Cod Cooperative Extension held a cooking demonstration during brown bag pick up. Mashpee residents who turned 90+ received flowers delivered by volunteers. The Director reviewed the meetings that the Outreach Coordinator attended which included meeting with Reaching Seniors Team, Elder Services of Cape Cod & Islands Board of Directors and met with someone to develop an Art Therapy Program. Her goals are to work on a program for May, National Meditation Gardening Day and work with Art Therapist and Meditation Leader to provide a Relaxation Pottery Class. Vote 4-0 unanimous Treasurer's Report The Director distributed the Treasurer's Report for the month of March and reviewed the numbers with the members. Vote unanimous 4-0 Activity Coordinator's Report The Director distributed the Activity Coordinator Report for the month of March. She noted several programs which included the Alzheimer's presentation and the creative writing class.
