S <br /> Y <br /> The Chairman asked if the Board Of Health has rade a <br /> decision regarding the policy which is to be implemented by the <br /> Town. David Leveille inquired as to those items that are to be <br /> designated for recycling. <br /> Veronica Warden stated there are specific requirements <br /> stated within the M. . I . F. program {three types of paper . <br /> David Leveille suggested requiring mandatory participation <br /> at the transfer station, for condominium complexes, and for the <br /> haulers; rather~ than targeting one particular 'group. <br /> Veronica Warden explained that mandatory recycling of the <br /> condominium complexes originated from the original condominium <br /> inium <br /> regulations. <br /> The Chairman stated the goal is for condominium, <br /> participation in recycling; however with that hauler fees will <br /> more than likely increase. He expressed this to be the concern <br /> of condominium residents. <br /> David Leveille noted successful participation would require <br /> ars incentive or Town--wide regulation. <br /> Veronica warden stated the Board of Health has adopted a <br /> regulation, effective July ist, which requires means for <br /> recycling he offered to all condominium complexes. <br /> Discussion-The Huntingest Group, P.C, <br /> At this point reference was rade to letter dated February 3. <br /> o 0 0, from The Hunt ingest Group, P.C. , to the attention of <br /> Veronica Mayer, signed by Jim Curtin, Manager. <br /> Veronica Warden noted the contents of the letter express a <br /> desire for involvement ent in the planning/decisions currently under <br /> consideration, as assurance that the condominium n ower and single <br /> family owner will he treated equally. <br /> Veronica Warden again expressed concern regarding the <br /> required implementation plan, and storage facilities for one <br /> hundred (1 00) ninety gallon containers. She suggested the <br /> Committee consider putting this matter on "hold" for the present, <br /> joining the M. . I . F. program at a future date and reapplying <br /> for the containers. <br /> Veronica Warden recommended this matter be postponed. The <br /> Chairman agreed, ]cased upon the fact there is no plan, and <br /> nothing has been implemented. He suggested a public forum he <br /> conducted, including the Board of Health as the permitting <br /> authority, whereby the Recycling Committee could present their <br /> recommendations.
