4 <br /> It was agreed that Veronica warden reply the Huntingest <br /> letter, acl nowled in receipt of their letter and explaining <br /> there is nothing further to report at this time, and that they <br /> will be kept apprised of any future developments in this regard. <br /> MOTION: Stephanie Jones made a lotion to postpone any <br /> further negotiations in the purchase of recycling carts until <br /> such time as an implementation plan has been initiated; which <br /> Motion was seconded by veronica warden and so voted unanimously. <br /> Multi-Family Recycling Workshop <br /> Committee Members Stephanie Jones and Glenn Santos expressed <br /> their interest in attending. <br /> Town meeting - Article for Submission <br /> Veronica Warden deferred to David Leveille, informing the <br /> Committee that he and Steve Ball have been working jointly on the <br /> Article for Town Meeting. David Leveille has also prepared an <br /> Explanation of the Article. <br /> David Leveille provided copies of both the Article being <br /> submitted by the Board of Health and the Town meeting Article <br /> Explanation thereto, stating the Explanation would more than <br /> likely be condensed for publication in the Town meeting Warrant. <br /> There was some discussion regarding the amount for <br /> electrical expenses as noted in the Explanation, $30, 400 . 00 . <br /> Stephanie Jones requested the annual, figure for electricity costs <br /> to be paid by the Town be included in the Explanation. David <br /> Leveille agreed to provide said amount. <br /> There was also some discussion rewarding the figures used <br /> for the amount of cardboard collected. ' David Leveille explained <br /> the figure is based upon those amounts being reported from other <br /> surrounding communities in order to agree upon an estimated <br /> figure. The total amount of cardboard is estimated to be twenty <br /> (20*) percent of the total weight of the trash. <br /> David Leveille also made reference to those estimated <br /> figures used as a basis for the amounts being presented in the <br /> Explanation. The cardboard estimates were based upon the total <br /> amount of trash processed by the transfer station in 1999-2000 <br /> and those anticipated for the years 2000-2001, being an average <br /> of 4, 915 toms, of which 20W would be cardboard, for a total of <br /> 983 toms per year. <br /> There was some discussion regarding a realistic amount of <br /> compacted tonnage, with the Chairman offering .information for <br /> comparison purposes. David Leveille stated he would re-work the <br /> original figures and report back to the Cornmittee. It was <br /> estimated the amount of profit realized from recycled cardboard <br /> -3- <br />
