J <br /> M <br /> a Member of the Board of Health and the Recycling Committee be <br /> present and speak at the Town Meeting in favor of this proposal . <br /> There being no New Business to address, the Chairman then <br /> addressed the matter of old Business. <br /> Veronica warden informed the Committee she found it <br /> necessary to attend to paperwork in connection with the used oil <br /> tank grant; and which paperwork has been 'completed and forwarded <br /> to BFF. She further informed the Committee that it is expected <br /> that the Town of Tisbry will forward to the Town of lashpee a <br /> check in the approximate amount of Four Thousand ($4, 000 . 00 <br /> Dollars for the oil tank. The Town of Mashpee has met all <br /> necessary requirements, a schematic drawing indicating all <br /> required safety equipment has also been submitted, and a check <br /> is expected to be forthcoming shortly. <br /> Veronica warden spoke to the C.R.T. waste ban and grant <br /> natter, stating she has researched hauling services and price per <br /> pound charges. According to Global Recycling Technology, they <br /> are offering a price per pound of $.25 cents. It has been <br /> calculated that the total cost for monitor and t.v. removal for a <br /> period of one year would be Forty Thousand ($40, 000 , 00) Dollars. <br /> She also informed the Committee of a company that has come <br /> to her attention via the Board of Health, who will haul C.R.T. IS <br /> and monitors for no fee, with a charge of $ . 15 cents per pound. <br /> Veronica warden reported she hasmade an atetpt to contact this <br /> company directly, resulting in her leaving a message with them. <br /> She then contacted the State and inquired as to the availability <br /> of funding and the possibility of receiving a free hauling rate. <br /> She was informed of grant monies available from the State which <br /> could be applied to hauling charges in connection with the <br /> removal of C.R.T, ' s. <br /> Veronica warden stated she. has filed an application with the <br /> State requesting consideration of said grant monies. <br /> There was some discussion regarding the breakdown of chanes <br /> estimated in connection with t .v. and monitor removal. . veronica. <br /> Warden ,proposed implementing ment.in a charge of Teri ($10. 00) Dollars -for <br /> computer monitors; and Twenty $2 . 00 Dollars for nineteen inch <br /> t.v. ls. <br /> David Le eille strongl.y suggested that state approved <br /> standard contract rates be used as a guideline when establishing <br /> the rates to be adopted by the Town. <br /> Veronica warden reported a check has been received from <br /> AAA Recycling in the amount of Six Hundred Thirty-Eight <br /> Dollars and Fifty Cents for newsp per which money has been � <br /> deposited into the General.
