Cape Cod Recycling Information and User Fees <br /> Veronica Warden provided this information, indicating <br /> Committee members right be interested in comparisons Stade with <br /> other Towns on Cape Cod. <br /> There was some discussion regarding mattress <br /> disposal/recycling, Stephanie Jones expressed her interest in <br /> reviewing contract specifications. <br /> The Chairman noted that some fees have been questioned and <br /> brought before the Board of Health. <br /> Discussion <br /> Veronica Warden broached the subject of the disintegrating <br /> condition of the tire container, stating the purchase of a new <br /> one is necessary. <br /> She volunteered to oversee the purchase. She has discovered <br /> companies will provide a roll off container which can be packed <br /> with ars unlimited number of tires, in various si s, at a rate of <br /> $1, 000 . 00 per haul. <br /> Through further investigation she, found that a 40 foot <br /> storage container~ could be purchased from M .M Company for <br /> 1200 . 00 . <br /> Committee Members explained the nature of the draft outline <br /> of a Recycling Plan, as proposed by David Leveille at the April <br /> 4th Meeting to James Chisholm who had been absent) ; they <br /> discussed Phase I, Phase II, and the placement of containers at <br /> the landfill , <br /> Stephanie Jones mentioned her concern as to the placement of <br /> newspapers, stating she feels there is a safety issue with people <br /> having to cross the road. She requested consideration of a <br /> different location. <br /> Veronica Warden assured her this matter has been discussed, <br /> agreeing it is also a concern of hers. The Board and the <br /> Contractor agreed on the present location being the only <br /> feasible placement as it does not fit anywhere else. She also <br /> explained that the truck requires a certain position in order to <br /> remove the roll off. <br /> Stephanie Jorge s informed the Conmi t t ee that she has taken <br /> photographs of the transfer station which she will -present at the <br /> next scheduled meeting, which will show certain conditions, <br /> especially when it rains. She suggested relocation of the leaf <br /> container. <br /> Veronica warden noted there are plans for specific areas <br /> - - <br />
