4 <br /> Buhr Recycled Pavilion-may 9th - nth <br /> Veronica Warden reported the event i <br /> s on-doing as of this <br /> date, taking place at the world Trade Center; she invited Members <br /> i <br /> to attend, and ,informed them there is a free pass available. <br /> Scituate "Pay As You Throw" Program <br /> Veronica warden brought this program to the attention of the <br /> Committee, stating the information has been taken from the <br /> ass .ecycler Magazine. she stated she had contacted David <br /> Leveille requesting he pick up the hand-out information for <br /> tonight ' s meeting so that he would be made aware of this article. <br /> The article sharps information on how one town accomplished <br /> this type of program, which she feels is very important in light <br /> of the fact Mashpeo will more than likely implement this same <br /> type of program within the near future. <br /> "Pay As You Throw" workshop <br /> Veronica Warden brought this seminar to the attention of the <br /> Committee, noting the date to be Wednesday, May 17th, 9 :30-12d:30 <br /> p.m. in Lakeville# <br /> She explained this program is being promoted throughout all <br /> of the towns -within the Commonwealth. She suggested it any <br /> Committee Members are interested in attending to let her know, <br /> and that she would be happy to submit the registration <br /> information. <br /> Stephanie Jones volunteered to attend. <br /> There was some discussion regarding the possibility of a <br /> curb side "Pic up" within the Town. veronica Warden noted the <br /> major issue in this regard is liability. <br /> The Chairman explained ultimate responsibilities would lie <br /> with the Town. Veronica warren mentioned the Town is also very <br /> aware of the expenses involved with this service. <br /> Veronica warden predicted a "Pay As You Throw" program will <br /> be implemented in the future, after the compactors have been <br /> installed. she stated a bid proposal package is to be prepared <br /> by the Town Administrator, David Leveille, and herself within the <br /> next few weeks. <br /> M.R.
