ii 7 i r i Town of Mashpee Recycling Cormnittee minutes of meeting August 15, 2000 The Town of Mashpee Recycling Committee Meeting was called to order In the Board of Health Office, Mashpee Town Hall, 1 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, Massachusetts at p.m.. ori Tuesday, August 15, 2000 . The Chairman, Glenn n Sa nto , presided. Cornmittee Members present; David Leveille; Glenn Santos, Chairman;an and Veronica Warden, Clerk. Absent: Stephanie Jones, vice Chairman. The Chairman declared a quorum to be present and called the Meeting to order. He announced the Meeting was being taped solely for transcription purposes. AS the first order of business he addressed the issue of Minutes. Approval of Minutes MOTION: David Leveille made a motiot to approve the Minutes of the July 11, 2000 Meeting as submitted; which Motion was seconded by Veronica warden and so voted unanimously. New Business The Chairman acknowledged receipt of a Letter of Resignation from Committee Member, James Chisholm. He then entertained a motion be made in this regard. 1 TION veronica Warden rade a Motion to accept/approve the resignation request made by Mr. Chisholm; which lotion was seconded by David Leveille and so- voted unanimously. D.E. P. Response Letter The Chairman made reference to response letter, . .P. , from Greg Snaith, regarding Solid waste taster Plan. Veronica warden explained Mr. Snaith is the South Eastern .Massachusetts Recycling Coordinator, who has extensive background nd arra experience in his field. Veronica warden expressed her support of lir, smith' s suggestion for a regional (Cape Cod) plan, stating hauling costs are becoming astronomical . The Chairman stated it has been suggested that a regional facility be Located next to the transfer station at Otis . ".B. ; with rail use for transportation of recycabl.es off Cape. (There was brief discussiot regarding possible location sites. )
