Site fencing has been erected for
contractor storage and for Phases 1A, 1B, and 2. Work on Phase 1A is scheduled to begin
Monday, April 16. This is the week of April vacation so students will not be present. The GC
expects to complete this phase by the first week in May.
Eight proposal requests have been issued to the contractor to date.
• PRO03 is for replacement of all countertops in the bathrooms. The original contract only
included replacement of countertops needed for ADA improvements.
• PRO06 is for modifications needed to the roof for replacement of three roof-top HVAC
units. The three units should be replaced due to age. As new curbing will be required, it
makes sense to coordinate with replacement of the roof. Purchase of the HVAC units
will be paid through the Capital Improvement Bond. The units service the Admin Office,
the Superintendent's Office, and the Library.
• PR007 is for modifications to taper insulation due to the roof edge/assembly changes
(PR002).
• PR008 is for modifications to the lockers. The original contract included modifications
for ADA improvements. The Building Commissioner has agreed that no change to the
existing doorway reach is needed eliminating the need for additional abatement for
removal of floor tile.
