This is similar to the motel regulations. It does not need to be maintained at the property; however, the owner <br /> is to retain a record of the occupants. The register should contain the name, address, and telephone of the <br /> occupants. <br /> FEE FOR REGISTRATION: <br /> The fee is net listed in the regulation because fees do change. However, it will be listed in the Board of Health <br /> Fee Schedule. The Board discussed the registration fee. The current annual motel renewal fee is $200. The <br /> permit fee for registrations will cover the annual Inspections. A flat fee of 300 annually up to four units was <br /> discussed, and anything beyond 4 units ars additional o for each unit will be assessed. <br /> INSPECTIONS: <br /> 1. Dwelling units covered by this regulation shall be subject to inspection at reasonable times by the <br /> Board and its agents including inspectional services (building, plumbing, electrical, fire) at the discretion <br /> of the Board of Health. All Interior inspections shall be done in the company of the owner, occupant or <br /> the representative of either. <br /> . Required inspections shall occur prior to issuance of a rental certificate and annually thereafter. <br /> . Inspections shall be performed in accordance with chapter II of the state sanitary code 105 CMR <br /> 410.000. <br /> PARKING ESTRICTIONS: <br /> If the Board of Health is summoned for parking obstruction, the health agent can contact the Mashpee police <br /> Department to make a determination. It's best to have parking restrictions within the regulation for the safety of <br /> the occupants and the abutters. <br /> REFUSEREQUIREMENTS: <br /> Removal of trash by owner or other agent is required. The occupant is responsible for maintaining the property <br /> in a sanitary manner. <br /> WRITTEN NOTICE of VIOLATION —TIME LIMITS FOR CORRECTION: <br /> Through the years Town counsel's advice was wherever a permit is involved suspension} modification and <br /> revocation of a permit should be used for leverage for enforcement. The individual who violates the regulation, <br /> who refuses to move their car} Massachusetts General Law chapter 40 Section 21 B Ticketing System is where <br /> an individual ticket is given to a person or an individual. The owner possesses the permit, therefore, the permit <br /> is used as leverage. Including that the Board of Health has the right to suspend: modify or revoke any Dental <br /> Certificate after a hearing. The permit is considered personal property; therefore the bearing is required. This <br /> will take a Torn Meeting approval to add this regulation to using the non-criminal disposition. Penalties must <br /> also be'set forth with a fine. <br /> VARIANCES: <br /> The Board discussed the different types of variances. <br /> The next meeting of the Board of Health is scheduled for Thursday, February 1, 2018, at 7:00 PM.
