High School planning; <br /> include a pool design, too and a day care center. <br /> They asked the Mashpee School Committee to contact <br /> the Falmouth School Committee to ask if perhaps <br /> one-year extension could be granted beyond the <br /> current 1996 date, if needed. <br /> Kathleen Lee - Thanked the Committee for giving <br /> parents a choice of full day everyday or half day <br /> everyday for upcoming kindergarten classes .. She <br /> also questioned the number of children in a class <br /> and expressed concern of bus drop offs. <br /> Maureen Paxton - Questioned the location and <br /> responsibility of the recently constructed storage <br /> space in the Great boom at the Davis School so a <br /> handicapped bathroom could be installed. Dr. <br /> DeMoura consulted with the Building Inspector and <br /> the teachers who use that space. <br /> District Attorney Phillip Rollins - Spoke in support <br /> of the upcoming "Personnel" recommendation of <br /> r instituting a School/Juvenile 'Court Liaison. The <br /> + i <br /> salary would be jointly paid by the Police <br /> D'epartmen't and the School Department. Deputy Police •. <br /> Chief Maurice Cooper, Mary LeClair, officer Doris <br /> Dottrige also expressed their support for such a <br /> position. <br /> Iv. 4 , 1 School Committee <br /> Communications <br /> 4 . 1 .1 Mrs. Dunivan read aloud a letter from Maureen Paxton <br /> who asked for a copy of Dr. DOMourals contract. Her <br /> request also included copies of the School Committee <br /> packets be made up for public use. Dr. DeMoura then <br /> read a memo from Board of Selectmen Chair games <br /> Vaccaro that said, "Town Counsel indicates that <br /> i tapes of meetings are public information and <br /> request to listen to such tapes (excluding executive <br /> rYEr` session) cannot be denied. In addition, Mr.. <br /> ` <br /> r Kopelman (Town Counsel indicates that tapes cannot <br /> be destroyed or re-used if a request to preserve <br /> such tape has been made. <br /> .. . "Re further indicates that unapproved written <br /> ' minutes are public documents which must be provided <br /> upon request. Unapproved minutes should be titled <br /> .Y <br /> "Unapproved Minutes. " The current Town procedure is <br /> to charge 20 cents per page for copies. <br /> 41 A <br /> ', <br />
