" <br /> 6.4 .2 Kenneth C. Coombs - Mr. Feldman reported on the <br /> activities at the Coombs School which included kudos to <br /> Music teacher Janice Murphy and Guidance Counselor Lois <br /> Hirshberg for their Peace Week efforts; Yoko Watkins will <br /> visit Grade 3 on June 2; Valerie Stephens will talk to <br /> students in all grades on June 3, -Grade 2 will visit Roger <br /> Williams Park on June 8; Grade 1 and Pre--1 took at field trip <br /> to Heritage Plantation on June 1 and also travel to Cape Cd <br /> Potato Chip Company and the Sandwich Boardwalk on June 1 ; <br /> Coombs School Field Day is scheduled for June 17 ; and the <br /> School Council will give a progress report during the July <br /> School Committee meeting. <br /> 6.5 Monthl F'Y94 Budget_ Update - Dr. Petti expressed concern <br /> over the lack of supplies. Dr. DeMoua said bids are <br /> upcoming at which time, some supplies will be ordered. Ir. <br /> Paxton questioned the expenditures that are over 100% and <br /> i , in the F'Y9 budget, are the figures closer to the <br /> actuals. Dr. DeMoura responded that some adjustments had to <br /> be made during the year due to low initial budget figures in <br /> September. <br /> .6 FY 95 Bud eft -� Dr. peMoura asked the Committee to set a date <br /> for the annual budget public hearing* It was decided this <br /> public hearing would take place on July 6, 1994 just prior <br /> to the regular meeting, Dr. De Moura explained that the FY95 <br /> budget has been reduced by $224, 168 . Listed below are those <br /> cuts: <br /> Special Education $ 48,807 <br /> Middle School Late Bus 71800 <br /> Science Revision 21FOOO <br /> BS Testing all grades) 3,000 <br /> Gr. 5-8 Special Education Teacher 32r000 <br /> Ger. 5-8 Special.
