DeMoura told the Committee that <br /> the April profit before maintenance costs was $2 , 842 .73, <br /> Food Service Contract,.,..,-.1994-1995 - Dr. DeMoura recommended <br /> extending Canteen Corporation's contract for the 1994-1995 <br /> school year at the food service company. Contract terns <br /> would remain the same. Prices for school lunches, i.e. , <br /> student lunch, $1 .25; faculty lunch, $2 .25; and milk, $, 2 <br /> would remain the same until perhaps January at which time <br /> the prices would be reviewed. <br /> Motion made by Dr. Petti, seconded by Mr. Consa.lvi, to <br /> approve extending the Canteen Corporation's contract for the <br /> 1994-1995 school year and keeping prices the same, as noted <br /> above. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Mr. Paxton then questioned whether performance evaluations <br /> are being performed as stated in the contract. Dr, DeMoura <br /> responded that evaluations are based on student <br /> participation which has increased from last year to this <br /> year. Mr. Paxton also asked if there was a menu advisory <br /> board. Dr. DeMoura answered that there was not, however, <br /> one would be established for the 1994-1995 school year <br /> consisting of parents, teachers, and students., <br /> A Principal's Repot <br /> 6 .4.1 Middle School - Mrs. Phillips offered kudos to <br /> Officer Doris Dottridc a and Janet Kraskouskas on their <br /> efforts during the D.A.R.E. graduation; "PeaceWeek" is <br /> ongoing,oing, Curls Softball record was 7 wins and 3 losses; Boys <br /> Baseball record was 5 wins, 4 losses, and 1 tie; <br /> kindergarten Awards Day will be held on June 2, AIDS Dance <br /> on June ; Spring Concert for Grades 4, 5, and 6 set for <br /> June 99 Grade 4 will visit Plimoth Plantation on June lo; <br /> Semi-formal dance on Jure 10; Grade 8 class trip to Canobie <br /> Lake Park on June 1 ; Grade 8 Awards Day on June 20; Grade 6 <br /> field trip to Boston arbor George's Island on June 21; <br /> Grade 8 graduation set for June 23, and the last day of <br /> school will be June 24th. <br /> At this point, Mrs. Phillips introduced Mary Durham who <br /> presented the Middle School School Improvement Plan which i <br /> mandated by the Education Reform Act. Mrs. Durham outlined <br /> the School Improvement Plan whose mission statement is <br /> "Students will become confident and capable life lore <br /> learners, skillful and responsive communicators, clear and <br /> creative thinkers, and responsible and active contributors <br /> to their community. " Goals include "'Review, evaluate, and <br /> redesign the Student handbook, " to integrate student support <br /> programs within regular education classrooms, to improve <br />
