i <br /> MAS EE SCHOOL COMMITTEE .- REGULAR MEETING [S IE 1, 1994 PAGE <br /> 5.2 . 1 "T ether We Can" - Monday, October 17 , 1994 - Middle <br /> School gymnasium. <br /> Because the following trips are out-of-state, it i <br /> necessary to obtain Committee approval. <br /> At this point, Dr. DeMouraâ–º asked Mrs. Sandra Feeley, Grade 8 <br /> Advisor, to address the Committee for approval of a class <br /> trip to Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire. After <br /> explaining the trip stating that transportation funding <br /> would be paid through class funds. <br /> On a motion by Mr. Cons lvi, seconded by Mrs. Mills, the <br /> Committee approved Mrs. Feeley's request to take the Grade <br /> class to Canobie Lake Park in Salem, Vew Hampshire for their <br /> class trip. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Speaking on behalf of officer Doris Dottridge, D.A.R#E. <br /> Officer, Middle School principal, Betty Phillips, addressed <br /> the Committee for approval for the Grade 7 field trip to <br /> Rocky Point, Rhode Island. Transportation funds would be <br /> paid through the D.A. .E. funds. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Consalvi, to <br /> approve the Grade 7 field trip to Rocky Point, Rhode Island. <br /> VOTE:- Unanimous <br /> A request from French teacher Mae Cushing was made to revamp <br /> the eighth segment of the French T curriculum for the 1994- <br /> 1995 <br /> 994- <br /> 1 95 school year. A stipend of $400 was requested from the <br /> "Coombs Fellowship" <br /> Motion made by Dr. Petti, seconded by fir. Consalvi, to <br /> approve Mrs. Cushing's request. <br /> Discussion then followed on the funding of this request. <br /> Mrs. Mills said funds are tight enough and any additional <br /> requests only places a tighter strain on the budget. This <br /> issue will be discussed at July's meeting. <br /> Dr. Petti then rescinded her motion. <br /> 6. 1 Personnel - Dr. DeMoura informed the Committee of the <br /> following individuals who -wish to be placed on the 1994-1995 <br /> substitute teacher listing at a per the f $50.00: <br /> Deborah Els}camp Linda MacDonald, R.N. <br /> P. 0.
