MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING - JUNE If 1994 PAGE <br /> Viii , 891 lic JF - Student Dress Code - On a motion made by <br /> New Mr. Consalvi and seconded by Mrs. Mills, the revised <br /> Business "Student Dress Code' was adopted reflecting the statement <br /> that electronic devices are not permitted in school. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> T X. 911 Sub-Committee Reports <br /> Committee <br /> Reports 9* 1 . 1 e otitions - To be discussed in executive Hessian. <br /> 9. 1 .2 High School Committee - Dr. Petti reported on the <br /> meeting held on May 9 with Pamela Gray-Bennett from the New <br /> England Association of Secondary Schools who discussed <br /> accreditation. Ms, Gray-Bennett allayed the concerns of <br /> parents stating there would be no problems getting <br /> accredited, however the process ,includes a self-study which <br /> is done by a private agency, i.e. , Commission on Public <br /> Schools. The self-study sometimes takes two years. Initial <br /> accreditation costs about $10,000 with yearly stipends of <br /> $1,300. <br /> .2 External -Reports <br /> 9.2 . 1 Cape Cod Collaborative - Mr. Consa.lvi informed the <br /> Committee of the last meeting stating that staff reductions <br /> will be made due to fewer students at the Collaborative for <br /> the upcoming school year. Also discussed were- workshops and <br /> inclusion. Their next meeting will be on June 2 , 1994 . <br /> 9.2.2 Leisure Services - Ms. Gibbs said this meeting was <br /> held on June 7 but she was unable to attend due to a parent <br /> meeting that she attended. <br /> 9.2 ,3 School Building Committees <br /> .2 , 3, 1 Addition - Dr. Petti will contact Peter <br /> Dini io to schedule a final. meeting. <br /> 9.2 . 3.2 High .School. - Mrs. Millsupdated the <br /> Committee which included the committee is now working <br /> on the general arrangement of classrooms. <br /> i <br /> 9.2.4 Legislation There was no report this evening. <br /> 9.2.5 Safe Transportation Task Fame - Dr. DeMoura reported <br /> that the last meeting of this school year was held on May <br /> 19, 1994 and at that time a meeting was set up for Tuesday, <br /> August 30, 1994 in the Superintendent's Office. <br /> X, Ms. Gibbs suggested asking Michael Pietrowski and his audio- <br /> Other visual staff to televise/film the Board of Selectmen <br />
