Greelish asked if Medicaid reimbursement would <br /> impact SPED needs. She was informed by Chairman Gibbs <br /> that the Town has not received funding at this time. It was <br /> noted that the Town's general fund receives the reimbursement. <br /> The School will be able to appropriate 500 of what has been <br /> approved. The figure is approximately $50,000. <br /> Mrs.Greelish has offered to discuss the above with Dr. DeMoura. <br /> With regards to the full dme kindergarten program,Dr.-DeMoura <br /> indicated that the School will receive full'credit in next years budget. <br /> It was noted that prior to the FY96 budget process, the dollar <br /> amount was reduced by one half or .5. <br /> 5.4 October l Enrollments: <br /> Dr.DeMoura indicated that the enrollment figure of October I, 1994 <br /> was submitted to the Department of Education. The foundation <br /> budget is Based upon an enrollment of 1699 students. <br /> Dr. DeMoura reviewed the enrollment projecos in total. It was <br /> noted that in 1981, a total of bbl students were enrolled. The <br /> 1994 figure reflects a total enrollment of 1769 students. <br /> Enrollments: Pre-K though Grade g; <br /> 9 -9 -9 <br /> 1404 1512 <br /> Dr.DeMoura indicated that next year it will be necesswy to <br /> hire additional teaching staff. This includes; <br /> I -2nd grade teacher <br /> 1 -4th grade teacher <br /> 2 - 5th grade teachers <br /> 1 - 6th grade teacher <br /> 1 -7th grade teacher <br /> 1 - specialist <br /> 5.5 InstructionW Time-for CM Aca&mip.Subjects: <br /> Dr.DeMoura reviewed the Department of Education's report <br /> on the amount of instruc onal time for elementary and.secondary <br /> students in comparison to Ishpee's current instructional time <br /> for core academic subjects. <br /> r <br />
