MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING - DECEMBER 7. 1994 PAGE 5 <br /> 5.2 Principals' Report <br /> 5.2 . 1 Middle School - Mr. Tippo reported on the A-Team <br /> Breakfast sponsored by the Student Council that was held <br /> this morning; kudos the all those participants in the <br /> Falmouth Christmas Parade D.A.R.E. float which took 1st <br /> place; and the late bus is being used to capacity. <br /> 5.2 .2 Coombs School. - Mr. Feldman reported on the Book <br /> Fair; the Christmas Concert is scheduled for next week; the <br /> after--school programs are wrapping up; Leisure Services will <br /> be holding -4 chess club and after-school math program with <br /> a social studies program after vadation for grades 2-4 ; the <br /> entire school went to see the "Nutcracker" last week; and <br /> the after--school programs with the seniors in computer and <br /> music will be taking place in January. <br /> 5. -,FY95 Budget (Monthly ReviDr. DeMoura discussed the <br /> out-of-district placements in special education. The <br /> special education budget 'is currently $41,000 in deficit <br /> with the tuition accounts. totalling $71, 300. As a result, <br /> Dr. DeMoura will not be honoring any. purchase orders with <br /> the exception bei-ng science, textbooks and he ' is not <br /> recommending the hiring of a grade 6 teacher. Also, there <br /> will be no CTBS testing in the spring. He thea asked for <br /> questions from the Committee. There were none. <br /> 5.4 Enrollments - Dr. DeMoura said the current enrollments <br /> preschool through Grade 12 total 1,703 students. School <br /> breakdown: Coombs School, 533; Middle School, 874; Falmouth <br /> High School, 296. Cape Cod Tech shows a total of 55 Mashpee <br /> students attending. <br /> 5.5 Food Service Update - Dr. DeMoura reported the November <br /> gross profit was $2, 373 . 13 minus mai <br />
