PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> MEETING of FEBRUARY 7, 1994 <br /> ASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> The following members of the Board were present : Robert Sullivan, Joe <br /> Dellagala, Marcia Lindsey, and Schuyler Wires . Also present at the <br /> Board meeting was Bob Whritenour. <br /> The meeting convened a 10 : 05 a .m. <br /> Personnel Board Minutes <br /> Joe Dellagala moved to accept the Personnel Board Minutes of November <br /> , December 1 , and January 4 . Bob Sullivan seconded the motion. <br /> All were in agreement . <br /> Article f or Annual Town Meet i <br /> With reference to the Administrative Assistant position, the Board ` <br /> reviewed the position questionnaire filled out by Joyce Masan. Bob <br /> Whritenour said that he viewed this position between an Administrative <br /> Assistant and an Office Manager plus . He said that the position <br /> requires considerable independent judgement, requires handling of com- <br /> plicated tasks and a tremendous amount of work pulling things together <br /> such as insurance issues . He said that his office tastes care of <br /> things on a centralized basis , - <br /> Joe Dellagala asked what exactly were some of the things being done . <br /> Bob said with regard to insurance, they select an insurance company . <br /> The town is not in, a pool which takes a little more effort . However, <br /> by going direct, the town saved $200,000 by taking it away from <br /> agents . He said ' the town has a good _amount of insurance claims . The <br /> town' s insurance includes liability, property and usual and workman ' s <br /> Comp. They also handle purchasing and development of proposals , <br /> Joe Dellagala commented that the Board is receiving requests for <br /> upgrades, however there have been no evaluations , He said that he <br /> wants to see the Board recommendations justified .
