PERSONNEL BOA1 D MEETING MINUTES of JUNE 6, 1994 {fes#R'E'F, 2 Goals for Personnel Joe indicated that he had talked with four managers an continual mentioned was one thing was that their It insecure in their jobs . The managers feel that when they are hired that they are appointed into stead a Job . Nancy �affyn commented that the Board of Selectmen have the right to appoint or reappoint . The terms of someositions . are governed y local law, ] the state laws or y the Federal laws Other elected officials who have appointment powers are the Board of Assessors and the Board of Health, . etc . Joe commented that he would like to see something in writing with regard to appointments , Action Plan Joe Della s l a drafted sixteen iters for the Board to-.review relative to the Action Plan for the Personnel Board see attached ) . Board members reviewed the sixteen items and will take them under advisement for further review before accepting theta and sending them to the Board of Selectmen . Data Collector SAJatv Selectman Nancy Caffyn 'expressed concern over t'he salary of the Data Collector., Joe advised Nancy that a mistake had been made . Later in the meeting, the Board met with the Department Dead, Dave Bailey, and wit,h- the employee, Joe Polito. and advised them of the mistake . The employee, Joe Polito. agreed to the ad3ustment in salary and asked if thep o ition could be looked at down the road for an upgrade . The Board agreed to- have the position included in the salary study. Assistant Conservation Aeat The Board was -reminded that they wild meet again on June 15 to interview candidates for the part-tire position of Assistant Conservation Agent .
