He said that the Town will have to make <br /> decision whether to go out for bid . <br /> Meg explained that personnel studies are labor intensive . There is a lot <br /> of contact with employees which consists of interviews over a three to <br /> four day period . They look at individual job descriptions and individual <br /> questionnaires which they examine very carefully . Job descriptions -are <br /> edited and reviewed by employees . A lot more hours are .involved and it is <br /> a very thorough process . <br /> Bob whritenour commented that one of the reasons for the meeting is to get <br /> sense of what the level of effort is and what the price would be if they <br /> were to interview "x"' amount of employees . Meg explained that there are <br /> two parts to the study -- an internal, investigation and a.n external <br /> review . They would interview employees and meet with their supervisors . <br /> The external investigation consists of organizing salary data to see if <br /> positions have comparable data . This gives A framework to making <br /> decisions . Meg commented that there may be measures to sage time and <br /> money such as using salary surreys like the Cape Cod Salary Survey . <br /> Meg commented that there may be less effort and time in the studies of <br /> other proposals .
