-2-
Ava went over her 2019 budget requests for the Mashpee Historical Commission. Since we
have had a very limited budget for many years, she asked for increases in several line items.
She as well as the other Commissioners would like to see us be able to participate in the
upcoming celebrations - 400 years since the Pilgrims arrived in Cape Cod, and also the 1501"
Anniversary of the Town of Mashpee— both of which will occur in 2020. We would also like to
improve our outreach to the community by being able to offer informational programs from time
to time so the residents of Mashpee and other towns can find out more about the unique history
of Mashpee and our Town Archives.
Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, December 21st, at 4:30pm, at the Archives. Ava
suggested that we invite Selectman John Cotton to attend our next meeting. We plan to close
the Archives to the public after December 281h. Anyone can request a meeting with one of our
Commissioners by contacting Commissioner Nancy Soderberg. We will have a sign in our front
window with Nancy's contact information.
Brian made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:10pm, and it was seconded by Nancy.
Submitted by: Ann Graham, Sr. Clerk
