He stated that this <br /> had been done in the past wits"lout encountering any <br /> problems. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Ms . Gibbs, to waive <br /> the requirement of a performance bond from Laidlaw. <br /> VOTE : In favor: Mr. Consalvi, Ms . Gibbs . Abstaining: Mrs . <br /> Lynch, Mrs . Mills, Mr. Paxton <br /> 9.2 special Education - Program Plan - Dr. DeMoura asked <br /> Grace Day to address the Committee and present the SPED <br /> Three Year Program Plan Update for School Year 1995- <br /> 1996 . Mrs . Day went through the program plan and stated <br /> that this program was the compilation of many months o <br /> work. she stated that adequate notification was sera <br /> home to the parents as well as notices in the papers. <br /> She had derived information from doing surreys, inputs <br /> from parents, staff, students, -administrators,, and the <br /> public at large. Dr. DeMoura also presented <br /> correspondence from John Denaro stating his concerns <br /> regarding the program plan and that the public had not <br /> had enough input into the program. Mrs . Day reiterated <br /> the steps that she and her staff had gone through in <br /> compiling this plan. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Consalvi, seconded. by Ms . Gibbs, to accept <br /> the Special Education Three Year Program Plan for school year <br /> 1995-1996. <br /> VOTE: In favor: Mr. Consalvi, Ms . Gibbs, Mr. Paxton, Mrs . <br /> Mills . Abstaining: Mrs . Lynch <br /> 9. 3 school Choice - Mrs . Mills read Dr. DeMourals letter <br /> which recommended not participating in the School Choice <br /> program. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Mrs . lynch, to not <br /> participate in the School Choice program for the 1995-1996 <br /> school year. <br /> VOTE : Unanimous <br />
