Mills stated that she felt that these two positions <br /> need to be administration and not union. Mrs . Mills <br /> asked the Committee members for their thoughts . Mr. <br /> Paxton stated he had a problem with taking two people <br /> away from specialized. fields . Mr. Consalvi stated he <br /> uncomfortable that these two positions are not <br /> management positions but stated that he feels that <br /> specialized fields require specialized knowledge. He <br /> also stated he felt that there is a need for change and <br /> feels that these two positions reed to be management <br /> positions. Ms . Gibbs stated she agreed with Mr. <br /> onsalvi. Mrs. Lynch stated that she felt that it was a <br /> lot of responsibilities for one position and asked if it <br /> can be rade into two individual management positions . <br /> Mrs. Mills asked Dr. DeMoura to loot into the <br /> possibility of creating two administrative positions and <br /> stated that the wish of the school Committee is that <br /> these two positions become administrative positions . <br /> III . Mrs . Mills asked if Mr. John Iena.ro was present as he had <br /> Other Business asked to speak to the School Comrnittee. Mr. Denaro was not <br /> present . <br /> Mrs. Lynch reported that she and Mr. Paxton had gone to the <br /> Selectments Meeting and had asked them to change the liquor <br /> license hours of Zachary' s to begin after the afternoon <br /> school bus had delivered the children to their hones . She <br /> stated that they were told that they cannot hold a public <br /> hearing to change the hours unless there was a documented <br /> safety problem. The Selectmen had asked the school Committee <br /> to speak with their attorney to see if there had been any <br /> previous precedence for this type of issue. Mrs . Lynch <br /> stated that they had suggested holding a joint meeting after <br /> this had been discussed with the school Committeefs attorney. <br /> Mrs. Mills ask ed about the possibility f using crossing <br /> guards . Ms . Gibbs asked if the owner of the establishment <br /> would contribute to paying for a crossing guard as his <br /> contribution toward the safety of the children in Mashpee. <br /> Mrs . Mills asked Dr. DeMoura to draft a letter to the <br /> business owner asking hire for this contribution. <br />
