She said a meeting was held on September 5. 1995 <br /> and topics included offering an after-school day care program <br /> and sports program; stressed School Committee and principal <br /> support; the Leisure Services Advisory Council meets on the <br /> first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. ; fl re s will be send <br /> out in October; stressed the importance of School Committee <br /> support for Leisure Services Bylaws revision and an updated <br /> document will be forwarded to the Schoch Committee; the <br /> committee is asking to expand to include two more members. <br /> 8 .2 . 3 School Building. Committee - Mrs. Mills reported the <br /> high school is behind. The steel has not arrived however <br /> that's a contractor's issue. Lawrence Lynch is wording <br /> "unceasingly. " Mrs. Lynch suggested aerial photographs be <br /> taken and placed in the Middle School. <br /> 8 .2.4 Legislation - Mrs.. Mills had no report tonight. <br /> 8.2 .5 Safe Trans ortation Task Force - Mr. Paxton reported <br /> that he's taken ria .y phone calls from parents who children on <br /> tier one are standing at the same. bus stop as Falmouth High <br /> School students. Be suggested, advertising for more parental <br /> involvement on the Safe Transportation Task Force. Dr. <br /> DeMoura will send home a notice to parents, The next meeting <br /> is set for September 26, 1995 at 7 :00 p.m. in the <br /> Superintendent's Office. He complimented to volunteer <br /> Coordinator Maureen Colescott and the volunteers for their <br /> assistance during disembarking and boarding the buses. <br /> 8.2 .6 Personnel Co mittee - Dr. DeMoura said a meeting will <br /> be scheduled once the committee has been formed. <br /> IX Mr. Paxton brought up an issue regarding certification for <br /> Other Grade 6 teachers in each school questioning if they are all <br /> certified for what they are currently teaching. After much <br /> discussion on this issue, it was decided that Dr. DeMoura will <br /> meet with the principals for further investigation. <br /> X4, On a motion by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Mr. Paxton, the <br /> Adjournment regular meeting of the Mashpee School Committee adjourned at <br /> 9: 15 p.m. <br /> NOTE: Unanimous <br /> Respectf ull r submitted, <br /> Marjorie R.
