MA H EE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - NOVEMBER 1, 1995 PAGE 7 <br /> Dr. DeMoura will confirm with the Finance Committee. <br /> vii . 7 , 1 Mashpee High School Colors and Mascot - High School <br /> New principal, John Williams, conducted, a survey of faculty, <br /> Business parents, and students for selection of the school colors and <br /> mascot. The high school colors will be blue and white; the <br /> mascot will be a falcon. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Consalvit, seconded by Mrs. Cook, to <br /> accept the high school colors as blue and white and the high <br /> school mascot as a falcon. <br /> .2 Leisure Services Advisory Council 'Candidates - An opening <br /> currently exists on the Leisure Services Advisory Council 'to <br /> fill as the School Committee representation. At this <br /> evening's meeting, two candidates were interviewed to fill <br /> that position, They were Kimberly Whitney and Sheila <br /> Arnold. After expresssing their reasons for wanting to <br /> serve on the Advisory Council,, each School Committee <br /> member asked a question to each candidate. <br /> After discussion, it was decided that a vote would be taken <br /> at the December meeting. <br /> VIII6 8 . 1 Sub-Committee Reports <br /> Committee <br /> Reports 8. 1 . 1 Negotiations - Mrs. Lynch reported on the collective <br /> bargaining session that was held -on Saturday, October 28, <br /> 1995 . Further negotiations discussion will be held during <br /> executive session later in this meeting. <br /> 8 . 1.2 High School -Committee - Mr. Williams reported on <br /> October 19th meeting at which tune it was decided this <br /> committee had done its job at this point and the High School <br /> Council would take over. The High School committee will . <br /> meet again in January, 1996. Mr. Williams thanked all those <br /> who served and worked so diligently on the committee. <br /> 8. 1. 3 Elementary-School - Mrs. Cook had no report this <br /> evening as there had been no meeting. <br /> 8.2 External Reports <br /> 8.2. 1 Cape Cod Collaborative - Mr.. Consalvi reported on the <br /> last meeting at the Collaborative where the budget was <br /> approved, workmen's compensation case had been resolved, <br /> Visitation Day in October went well, and workshops continue. <br /> 8.2 .2 Leisure Services - Mrs. Cook said the next meeting <br /> Advisory Council meeting is November 7, 1995 in the Middle <br /> School conference room. <br />
