I7 <br /> 7 M <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - NOVEMBER 11 1395 PAGE <br /> .2 . 8 School BuildL M Committee - Mrs. Mills said the <br /> meetings are now being held at the high school. site. <br /> Although construction is behind, great strides are being <br /> made to catch up with the work. <br /> 8 .2 .4 Legislation - Mrs. Mills said things continue to be <br /> "topsy-turvy" both at the state and federal levels. <br /> 8 . 2 . 5 Safe Transportation Task Force - Mr. Paxton reported <br /> on the meeting that was held on October 24 where topics of <br /> discussion included the alleged abductions, moving of stops, <br /> and at the May, 1996 meeting, an effort will be rade to out <br /> down on tier 2 stops. The next meeting is scheduled for <br /> November 28, 1995at 7 :00 p.m. in the Superintendent's <br /> Office. <br /> 8.2 . 6 Personnel. Cominittee - Mrs. Cook reported on a meeting <br /> that was held on October 13 to approve the Affirmative <br /> Action mailing that was being sent to MCAD. The next <br /> meeting is set for November 60 <br /> IX* Mrs. Lynch ex l fined to the Committee that the H.A.R. . <br /> Other information was included in the packet because a parent has <br /> asked why is D.A.R.E, being taught during social Studies. <br /> Also, Mrs, Lynch asked to have an elementary sub -committee <br /> meeting scheduled soon. <br /> Mr. Paxton asked if the six-day rotation for specials and <br /> physical education taken outside to meet state guidelines. <br /> Mr. Tippo responded the teachers have placed in plan book. <br /> Ir, IeMoura distributed the MAsc Divisions meeting locations <br /> during the annual conference at the Fara Hyannis during <br /> November 8 .11, 1995 . He rioted Division VII will be in the <br /> Hyannis ort west room* <br /> Dr. DeMoura explained that the Impact Aid grant is an annual <br /> grant where the Federal. Government provides financial aid to <br /> school systems having children whose parents either work on <br /> federal property or are federal employees, To assist the <br /> school district in applying for these funds, a survey form <br /> is required. Thus, Dr, DeMoura sought the Committee's <br /> permission to distribute this form to all. students. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Paxton, seconded by Mr, Consalvi, to <br /> distribute the Impact Aid survey form. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br />
