She feels homework <br /> should be given on weekends, on a case-by-case basis. Mrs. <br /> Mills suggested that Mrs. Sprout address this concern to Mr. <br /> Williams. <br /> Mrs. Sprout asked to have the Goals 2000 and future School <br /> Committee packets seat to the Public Library. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Paxton, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, to <br /> forward the School Committee packets to the Public Library. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Mary Clare Dini io commented on the reorganization and asked <br /> for the principalsf perspective on how the reorganization is <br /> progressing after its first six months. Mr. Feldman <br /> responded that "For the most part, the kids seem happy" and <br /> he likes it. Mr. Tippo said that other than some lunch <br /> scheduling problems, on the whole it has worked although <br /> some teachers would have preferred to remain at the- Coombs <br /> School. <br /> IST. 4 . 1 School Committee <br /> Communications <br /> Dr. DeMoura prefaced his responses to the following letters <br /> stating that he would be happy to meet with Mrs. Corinne <br /> Wickel and Mrs. Mary Marsters to discuss in detail at their <br /> convenience. Mrs. Mills asked Dr. DeMoura to address each <br /> concern. <br /> . 1, 1 Letter from Corinne Wickel dated F'ebruar 1 - <br /> 1 <br /> Mrs. Wickel addressed some financial concerns as a result of <br /> the reorganization of the school system this year, one of <br /> her concerns regarded three Curriculum Chairmen if there <br /> were three schools. <br /> 4 . 1 .2 Letter from Marr Marsters dated February,, 1 - <br /> Mrs. Marsters' letter also questioned financial increases <br /> due to the reorganization, i.e. , the Middle School <br /> playground is not equipped to handle the number of students <br /> at that school; an art teacher for the third school was <br /> never considered early on; no pre-first program in the <br /> Middle School currently. ' <br /> After addressing each letter, Dr. DeMra reiterated he <br /> would be happy to meet with Mrs. Wickel and Mrs. Marsters <br /> for further discussions about their respective concerns. <br />
