Consalvi said the School Committee has met with the <br /> School Councils and they do not want to "shave" anything, <br /> He said the School. Committee knows what the needs are as <br /> well as the needs for opening a high school. He said the <br /> School Committee "Should go for it ($8.5 million) . " He said <br /> there is substantial money available in the stabilization <br /> account to be used for the one-tine costs in opening the <br /> high school.. <br /> Mrs. Cook said, "The answer probably does lie between $8 .2 <br /> million and $8 .5 Brillion" and agreed the school Committee <br /> needs to meet again.' However, credence must be given to <br /> administrators who have expressed what they need to run the <br /> schools properly. She is concerned over the lack of <br /> librarian coverage needing a professional in each <br /> building) . She felt perhaps bringing on the volunteer <br /> Coordinator on full time with a 1.5-hour per week assistant, <br /> Dr. DeMoura and Mrs. Mills stressed that $8. 9 million is not <br /> a viable figure to be discussed. <br /> After much discussion, a vote was taken. <br /> VOTE: In favor of accepting the FY97 budget of %e <br /> -8,5 4 8, 7 5 - <br /> Mr. Consalvi; opposed - Mrs. Mills, Mr, Paxton, Mrs. Lynch, <br /> and Mrs. Cook. The vote did not carry. <br /> Dr, DeMoura reviewed the preliminary budget information that <br /> was distributed at a finance meeting at Carver High School. <br /> vii , 7 .3 RFP -- Lunch Specifications - Dr. DeMoura presented a three- <br /> New year request for proposals for the management of the lunch <br /> Business program. The contract will commence on July 1, 1996 through <br /> June 30, 1999 and include the following: <br /> Three-year agreement <br /> Central kitchen concept <br /> Vehicle for transportation to satellite sites <br /> Inclusion of lunch room monitors <br /> Motion made by Mr. Consalvi to advertise the Food Service <br /> Management RFP. Motion seconded by Mrs. Cook. <br /> Mr. Paxton asked where would the advertisements be placed? <br /> Dr. DeMoura said in the Mashp _ Enterprise and the Goods and <br /> Services Bulletin. --- -. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 7 .4 GradeAcademio9 Pro - High School Principal John <br /> Williams presented the Committee with a draft of the' Mashpee <br /> High school `s "Program of Studies, " <br />
