MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING -• APRIL 3, 1996 PAGE <br /> 6.2 Eighth Grade Graduation Date June 2 1996 - Motion made <br /> by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Mrs. Cook, that Monday, June <br /> 24 , 1996 will be the eighth grade graduation ceremony. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 6 . 3 Last Day of School. - June 25, 1996 - Motion made by Mrs. <br /> Lynch that Tuesday, June 2 , 1996 will be the 180th day of <br /> school contingent upon no more snow days. The motion was <br /> seconded by Mr. Paxton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 6.4 Article in Support of RAGE - Mrs, Lynch said at the May Town <br /> Meeting, an article under "Legal Fees" will include $5,000 <br /> for support of RAGE (Residents Angry About Government <br /> Equity) , <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Lynch, seconded by M '. Paxton, to <br /> support the $5,000 figure in "Legal Fees" in the warrant. <br /> VOTE: Unanimousr <br /> 6 ,5 Choice Note - Dr, DeMoura explained that each year, school <br /> districts must vote to either become a school choice <br /> district or not. This Grote must be made prior to June 1 . <br /> Motion made by Mr. Consalvi, seconded by Mrs. Cook, for <br /> Mashpee not to become a choice school district. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 6. 6 FY97 Bulg - Included in the packet was the latest printout <br /> with $8,412, 702 as the bottom line for FY97. Dr. DeMoura <br /> 4 said although the latest Committee reductions -were <br /> incorporated, an additional $12,702 in reductions must be <br /> made* <br /> I* There was no business to discuss under this heading. <br /> New Business <br /> Viiia 8 . 1 sub--Committee Reports <br /> Committee <br /> Deports 8 . 1 . 1 Negotiations ions To be discussed in executive session. <br /> . 1,2 High School Mr. William said the High School. <br /> Committee continues to work on the student Handbook. Mrs. <br /> . <br /> Cook asked if school accreditation will be affected if the <br /> school opening is delayed. Mr. Williams was confident that <br /> would not be a problem. <br /> 8. 1.3 Elementary school - Mrs. Cook asked the Committee if <br /> they thought it would be necessary this committee to meet <br /> before the May regular school Committee. The consensus was <br /> no, it would not be necessary to meet.. <br />
