MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 7 , 1996 PAGE 11 <br /> Motion Ornade by Mrs. Lynch to ratify the Memorandum of <br /> Agreement between the Mashpee School Committee and the <br /> Mashpee Teachers` Association - Unit A. The motion was <br /> seconded by Mrs. Mills. <br /> Mrs.. Lynch said, "It was our feeling that we reached an <br /> agreement on a contract, however, it is also our feeling <br /> that there was an oversight and we want to meet with the <br /> negotiations team of the association because the coaching <br /> position were inadvertently left out. Otherwise, we will <br /> stick to the contract and discuss positions that <br /> were inadvertently left out of the negotiations and meed to <br /> be negotiated. " <br /> STD Unanimous <br /> 7 .4 Use of Facilities Policy/Agreement - Dr. DeMoura included in <br /> the supplemental packet was the recent correspondence from <br /> Mr. Frederick of Leisure Services regarding a snafu in the <br /> scheduling of Jazzercise classes. Dr. DeMoura summarized <br /> his mento to Mr. Frederick. <br /> Discussion followed with Board of Selectmen Chairman Peter <br /> Dini io on the wording of the agreement. <br /> Mrs. Mills suggested the School Committee Liaison to the <br /> Leisure Services Advisory Council, Mrs. Cook, meet with the <br /> Leisure Services Advisory Council to discuss verbiage then <br /> discuss with Attorney Butler, Afterwards Mrs. Cook should <br /> report back to the School Committee on any changes to the <br /> Joint Community Use Agreements Mrs* Cook agreed to Mrs. <br /> Mills suggestion. <br /> 7 -m5 Air ualit F FP Dr. DeMoura reported the air quality 1 F'P <br /> is scheduled to close on August 1 ; 1996 . <br /> Mse -Macdonaldnoted that the air vents in the school were to <br /> be opened up during the summer and they currently are not. <br /> Dr. DeMoura agreed but said some units needed filters <br /> 7 .6 Alternative Plan -- Mr. Paxton asked Mr. Williams, "How do we <br /> stand?" regarding the status of the high school opening. <br /> Mr. Williams responded, 'According to the School. Building <br /> Committee, all systems are . " <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked if a building certificate has been issued <br /> for A. B and E? Mr, Williams said no. <br /> Mrs. Lynch questioned the cafeteria and gymnasium <br /> completion. Mr. Williams said the cafeteria is ready, <br /> however, the gymnasium will be dif - <br /> ficult to complete by <br />
