Mrs. Lynch asked if the certificate of occupancy is not received, where will the furniture go Mr. Williams responded that the furniture consultant is in communication with the building committee and contractor and "things are being worked out. ,, lie said once the occupancy is approved, student orientation will be scheduled. VIII. 891 Hicth School League Affiliation Mr. Williams discussed the New Mashpee High School League Affiliation memo in which he Business recommended applying for membership in the Pilgrim Conference., Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. Lynch, to apply to the Pilgrim Conference for Mashpee High School. Mrs. Lynch asked about application costs. Mr. Williams said there are none as this is just an application. Affiliation . will commence in 1997 . VOTE: Unanimous 8,2 SMPTE Conference - Michael Pietrow ki asked the School Committee for permission to attend the SMPTE Conference in Los Angeles, California from October 8-12, 1996. He asked to take alone Shawn August, Executive Nice Chairman, Mashpee Section of SMPTE and Jonathan R, ForsytheF Chairman of the Mashpee Section of SMPTE. Mr. Pietrows i said through donations and the parental funds, airfare payment would be covered and John Brooks would house the group. Mir. Pietrow ki said he would pay $200.00 to cover his own airfare, Mrs. Lynch made a motion to approve the students and Mr. Pietrowski`s travel to the SMPTE Conference in Los Angeles in October, however, the School Department would pay for Mr. Pietrowski's $200.00 airfare. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Mills. Mrs. Mills asked where the $200.00 would come from in the budget* Dr. Deloura said Professional Development. VOTE: Unanimous 8 . 3 Ratification ,of Contract with Local 254 - This was discussed earlier in the meeting.
