MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE ` REGULAR MEETING - MARCH 5, 1997 PAGE <br /> happens t -a student who begins the school year at Falmouth High <br /> School and then decides to attend Cape Cod 'Tech in December. Dr. <br /> I e1 oura said that the numbers from the. October 1 report are the <br /> numbers used. Falmouth High school tuition is based on a per diem <br /> nate and 'once a student stops going to Falmouth High School, that per <br /> diem ceases immediately. Mrs. Mills asked Dr. DeMoura to find out <br /> where the seven students who were attending Fal-mouth High school in <br /> February have gone to drop the number so much. <br /> 7.5 FY9 Budget -- ]fir. DeMoura distributed a revised $10,900,000 <br /> budget as of 3/5/97 listing reductions and neer positions. Dr. DeMoura <br /> explained the Draft #2 budget which is off by about $15,000 from the <br /> original budget. <br /> 7.6 High SchoolDedication -- April 1.3_, 1997, 2:00 p.m. - Dr. DeMoura <br /> asked the school Committee to reserve this slate for the formal high <br /> school dedication program. <br /> Mrs. hills asked if any School Committee member had anyone special <br /> they would like to receive an invitation to let Dr. DeMoura know. 'Tours <br /> ill be given following a short dedication program. <br /> Mrs. Lynch said the jacket recently raffled off from the Booster's Club <br /> had been returned and she asked if the jacket could be raffled off once <br /> again during the dedication. The Committee agreed. <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked about when the librarian for the Quashnet schools wdl <br /> be hired, Dr. I ell dura said an 'interview is scheduled for March 17th. <br /> Mrs. Lynch stressed that a librarian will be hired by the end of the <br /> a <br /> school year. <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked if Laidlaw has hired a manager for them- Mashpee office <br /> as per their agreement: Dr. DeMoura will find out. <br /> 7. Medicaid Reimbursement Update - Dr. DeMoura said Mashpee-has <br /> received $268,290 for medicaid reimbursement and will go into the <br /> general fund. <br />! <br /> 7. 'resident Clinton's Call to Action for American Education in the 21st <br /> Century - Dr. DeMoura briefly- reviewed this document.
