For example, the one of <br /> the ski trips occurred during the Science Fair. Dr. DeMoura explained <br /> that yes, sometimes dates of everts change during the school year and <br /> are thus incorrect on the Master Calendar. He said that our goal is not <br /> to have conflicts and hest efforts are made to avoid them. <br /> .3 Recognition of Retired Professional Emplaees - Policy GCPC - Mrs. <br /> Lynch asked to meet with this committee to obtain a price Before <br /> presenting to the School Committee. <br /> 9.4 Librar- r 'I toring Center - High School principal Join Williams <br /> addressed the Committee on this topic stating that as a result of School <br /> Council discussions, members thought extending the library hours <br /> would be beneficial. As a trial solution, it was 'proposed that beginning <br /> in April, the library would be open two days/week (Tuesdays and <br /> Thursdays) until :00 p.m. This would be a five-geek trial basis. <br /> Also a position such as a weight room supervisor position would have to <br /> e created vith a stipend of $400. This would allow for opportunity to <br /> evaluate wage. Mr. Williams also proposed setting up a "tutoring <br /> center" in the library during the acre hours. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. cook to approve the library/tutoring center with a <br /> stipend of $400 for supervision. Motion was approved by Ms. <br /> Macdonald. <br /> Mrs. Lynch said $20 per dour is excessive but will approve the motion to <br /> get the library up and running. <br /> Mrs. Mills suggested investigated possibly having `swing shifts." <br /> VOTE; Unanimous <br /> 9.5 Gas Bid - In an effort to reduce gas expenses, Dr. DeMoura <br /> discussed this upcoming bid opening. <br /> Mrs. Lynch expressed concerns over having a bid presented that has <br /> already been advertised without the Committee's prior knowledge. <br />
