He asked if it had gone out to bid fret? Dr. DeMoura said <br /> that it had but the specifications had to be changed and the bid is <br /> out once again. <br /> A general discussion followed with questions being asked and <br /> answered by'Bookkeeper Gail seorgie. <br /> Mrs. Cook felt "nervous" about transferring between functions <br /> because of Mass. General Laws statutes. <br /> Mrs. Mills expressed concerns over budgeting for the librarian and <br /> the math books. Dr. DeMoura said the librarian situation is FY98, <br /> However, Dr. DeMoura said the wrath teacher said "things are all <br /> right at the high school level." Mrs. Parolski explained the math <br /> revisions were made however we could not afford the revisions for <br /> K-6 and thus continued on with Houghton-Mifflin. The $40,000 <br /> would be used for grades K- . Grades 3-6 math texts are six years <br /> old. <br /> Discussion then followed between Mrs. seorgie and the School <br /> Committee regarding encumbrances. <br /> Ms. Macdonald expressed concern about putting together a budget <br /> then it is changed without the school Committee knowing about it. <br /> Mrs. Lynch reminded the Committee about the regular meeting for <br /> July 2 and the Joint Meeting With the Board of Selectmen and <br /> Finance Committee sot for July 9th. <br /> Mr. Paxton asked the Committee to rethink the Quashnet River <br /> intercom if it is placed in next year's budget. Ir. DeMoura said if <br /> it is placed the , he will iforrrr the Committee, <br /> Morgan Peters has found three sources of funding for his theatrical <br /> events. He asked Perrrrission to use the computer in the <br /> Superintendent's office as it is directly related to School Committee <br /> correspondence. <br />
