1 <br /> r <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE - REGULAR MEETING - SEPTEMBER 3, 1997 PAGE <br /> Readrn : <br /> Patricia Kenny- Grades 1-3 <br /> Linda Kervin - Grades -6 <br /> Sandra Feeler- High School <br /> 7.2 Food Ser vice date - Dr. DeMoura said there will be a <br /> printout of the Summer Feeding Programin October's packet. <br /> 7.3 Enrollments - Dr. DeMoura reported on today's enrollments <br /> (first day ofschool). They were as follows: <br /> Coombs school - 515; Quashnet Valley- 427; Quashnet <br /> River - 354; I lashpee Nigh School -- 5 10; Falmouth High <br /> School - 160; Cape Cod Tech - 64. 'dotal: 1,966, <br /> Mrs. Lynch expressed concern over 26 students in a classroom in <br /> Grade 4 with two inclusion classes. Dr. DeMoura will meet with <br /> Mrs. Doyle to discuss enrollments in the Quashnet River school. <br /> For the latest update of enrollments, Mrs. lulls suggested having <br /> another printout at the special meeting of September 17, 1997 <br /> meeting. Dr. DeMoura will have an update at that time. <br /> .4 Facilities Report - In the school Facilities Supervisor- absence, <br /> Lir. DeMoura outlined the maintenance report for August, 1997. <br /> In his report, Mr. Cook reported the following: <br /> Coombs School: <br /> 1. Floor finish products and procedures were changed this <br /> summer to try and improve the appearance of VCT floor. The <br /> results were very good and plans will he made to do the same <br /> procedure next summer at the Quashnet schools. During <br /> future school vacation a flooring representative Will train all o <br /> the custodians for proper floor cleaning and maintenance. <br /> 2. The rubber stair treads and risers for the stage steps were <br /> delivered. The maintenance staff will install thein during a <br /> school break. <br />
